What is the National Space Grant?
The National Space Grant is a national network of colleges and universities. These institutions are working to expand opportunities for Americans to understand and participate in NASA's aeronautics and space projects by supporting and enhancing science and engineering education, research and public outreach efforts. Anyone can receive funding from the Space Grant.
- Over 6,300 college students received funding last year.
- There are over 22,000 educators currently engaged in the Space Grant.
- 25% of participants were from underrepresented populations.
- 40% of participants were female
