 The 70th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is being held in Washington, DC at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The event, which runs from October 21 to 25, will highlight nearly 200 technical sessions, panel discussions, and 150 exhibitors. College students will be able to see how they can contribute to the next step in space exploration and humanity’s next giant leap — human exploration of Mars.

On Wednesday, October 23 at 6:30 p.m. EDT, NASA STEM Presents, Space & STEM: How Do You Fit In, join the nationwide event by hosting an event at your university. Connect with your    local Space Grant Consortium or create your own unique event around this exciting opportunity

to learn more about how the next generation of explorers plays a role in the future of space exploration. Don’t miss out, take part in this

celebration of science, education and discovery!

  • Connect with your local Space Grant Consortium here

 

  • Locate your American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Student Branch here

 

  • Invite Speakers and Guests:

 

  • Local Partners – Reach out to university faculty departments, Space Grant Consortium and libraries to share resources on the history of space
    • Educators/Teachers – Invite science and history teachers from your local schools to discuss the importance of STEM and inspiring the Artemis generation to lead the new era of space exploration and
    • Local Schools/Informal Education – Invite your local school districts or after school Engage with teachers and students regarding the local STEM and educational resources in their district. This is a great time to inspire the next generation and highlight the opportunities within their local area.
    • Amateur Astronomers and Space Enthusiasts – Locate an astronomy club or science club in your area at Go Astronomy, The Astronomical League, and the NASA Night Sky Network.
